Canadian Athletes works with StudBud to provide premium sports recruiting services.

StudBud is responsible for services including:

• athlete recruiting profiles;

• athlete profile management;
• recruiting support;
• communication with college coaches;
• service agreements;
• program fees and payments;
• applicable Money-Back Guarantee terms.

If you decide to proceed with StudBud’s recruiting services, additional athletic, academic, profile, video, or other information may be requested directly by StudBud.

StudBud operates and controls its athlete recruiting platform and is responsible for the information maintained within that platform.

StudBud is located in Serbia, and information provided directly to StudBud may therefore be stored or processed outside Canada.

Canadian Athletes does not control StudBud’s athlete-profile database, data retention practices, or deletion procedures. Those matters are governed by StudBud’s applicable service agreement and privacy practices.

4. Athlete Profiles and College Coaches

Athlete profile information provided to or maintained by StudBud may be made available to college coaches as part of the recruiting process.

Depending on the applicable StudBud service and profile configuration, athlete profile information may include:

• athlete name;
• sport and position;
• graduation year;
• school information;
• athletic statistics;
• awards and achievements;
• photos;
• highlight videos;
• coach or club information;
• other recruiting information included in the athlete’s profile.

Canadian Athletes does not directly maintain or control StudBud athlete profiles.

Consent relating to the publication or promotional use of athlete names, photos, videos, testimonials, scholarship information, commitment announcements, or other profile content is governed by the applicable StudBud service agreement.

5. Minors and Parent/Guardian Involvement

Our recruiting services are intended for student-athletes aged 15 and older.

We do not knowingly offer recruiting-profile services to children under the age of 13.

For athletes under 18, a parent or legal guardian is required to participate in the contracting process for paid recruiting services and to sign the applicable StudBud service agreement.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate in recruiting consultations, communications, and decisions involving a minor athlete.

6. How We Share Information

Canadian Athletes does not sell personal information.

We may share or disclose personal information only where reasonably necessary, including:

• with service providers that support our Website, hosting, email, analytics, or communications;
• with StudBud only if you decide to proceed with recruiting services and sharing relevant information is necessary to facilitate onboarding or the recruiting service;
• where you specifically request or authorize us to share information;
• where required by law, court order, or government authority;
• where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, security, or integrity of Canadian Athletes, our users, or others.

Information submitted through the Canadian Athletes Contact Us form is not automatically transferred to StudBud.

If you decide to proceed with StudBud’s recruiting services, relevant information may subsequently be provided to StudBud as necessary to continue the recruiting process.

Information provided to or collected directly by StudBud is then subject to StudBud’s applicable service agreement and privacy practices.

Athlete profile information maintained through StudBud may be made available to college coaches as part of the recruiting process in accordance with the applicable StudBud agreement.

7. Third-Party Services and Booking Tools

The Website may contain links to third-party services, including services operated by our recruiting partner, StudBud.

When you choose to schedule a consultation, you may be redirected from canadian-athletes.com to StudBud’s booking page hosted through TidyCal.

Information you submit through that booking page is provided directly through the third-party booking service and is not submitted through the Canadian Athletes Website contact form.

Your use of StudBud, TidyCal, and other third-party platforms is subject to the applicable terms, privacy policies, and data practices of those services.

Canadian Athletes is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, availability, or operation of third-party websites or platforms.

8. International Data Processing

Some information associated with the services described on this Website may be processed or stored outside Canada.

In particular:

• information submitted directly through the Canadian Athletes Website may be stored in WordPress/Elementor submissions and email;
• the Canadian Athletes Website is hosted in Canada;
• StudBud athlete-profile and recruiting information may be stored or processed in Serbia;
• third-party technology and analytics providers may process information in the United States or other jurisdictions.

When personal information is processed in another country, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable law.

Athlete profiles and recruiting records managed through StudBud are subject to StudBud’s own retention practices and applicable service agreement. Athlete profile pages and videos may remain available after an athlete commits for as long as the applicable StudBud profile remains live.

10. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the Website, measure Website performance, and improve the user experience.

The Website currently uses:

• Google Tag Manager

Google Analytics may collect information such as:
